For delivery vehicles servicing mixed destinations—including loading docks—traditional swing-out doors pose challenges. Drivers must first reverse near the dock, then open the swing-out doors, and reverse again to align with the dock, all while avoiding damage to the doors. These steps must be repeated when departing.

In contrast, roll-up doors eliminate these extra maneuvers. The vehicle can be reversed directly to the dock and the door remains fully operable. If any impact occurs during docking, the bumper absorbs it—instead of the door.

Traditional swing-out doors can work against the operator when a vehicle is parked on a steep slope. Gravity makes the doors harder to control—either swinging shut or failing to stay open—depending on the vehicle’s orientation.

In contrast, Dynatect’s roll-up door changes the direction of door movement and uses spring tension to ensure consistent operation, regardless of how the vehicle is positioned on a slope. Roll-up doors remain stable and do not shift unexpectedly when parked on steep streets.

Traditional garage-style doors with overhead rails allow snow and rain to enter the cargo area, where moisture can drip onto both cargo and operators.

In contrast, Dynatect’s water management system features durable, double-walled construction with weather sealing between each slat, a bottom door seal, and a roller canister that contains the entire door in a confined space (drip pan available).

Life cycle tested for 500,000 open/close cycles and backed by 20 years of field-proven weather resistance. The design eliminates metal-on-metal contact, reducing premature wear and supporting long-term durability.

Bulb seals are made of EPDM, which offers high UV resistance and remains flexible in both extreme cold and heat. Compared to standard V-seals in the industry, the bulb seal enhances compression during door closure and eliminates the wavy or wrinkled appearance.

Dynatect’s small slat height allows the door to be fully contained in a small rolled up space, consuming minimal overhead while maximizing opening height, operator room, and cargo space.
