Rubber disc bellows offer exceptional flexibility and airtight protection for machine components such as spindles, shafts, and guideways. Designed for demanding industrial environments, these bellows are manufactured by stacking and vulcanizing individual rubber discs, resulting in an extremely expandable yet resilient structure. They provide a highly effective seal against dust, coolant, oil, and other contaminants, and are ideal for applications requiring high stroke-to-length ratios without the need for complex tooling. These bellows are dust- and liquid-proof and have excellent dimensional stability.
In the production of rubber disc bellows, individual elastomer discs are precision-punched, stacked, and vulcanized together, forming a sealed structure with molded contours on both the inner and outer surfaces. This manufacturing method allows for an exceptionally short compressed length. Prior to delivery, the bellows are surface-ground to ensure a uniform appearance and clean finish.

Rule-of-Thumb for Rubber Disc Bellows
Rubber disc bellows can be installed in vertical, horizontal, or diagonal orientations. Depending on the length and application, they can be stabilized using guide bushings, support discs, or integrated wire rings. Because the bellows are fully airtight, appropriate ventilation or pressure equalization measures must be considered. Ventilation ports or breather options can be integrated upon request.
Rubber disc bellows are used in a wide range of industrial and mechanical settings, including:
