SX Series Cable Carrier

Gortrac SX is a medium-sized steel cable carrier with an overall 3.2” (81,3 mm) link height, flexible inside width, and curve heights from 10.13” – 27.31” (257,3 – 693,7 mm).

The SX has incredible load capacity for its overall weight, and with maximum unsupported travel span without compromising strength.

Product Details

  • Unlimited cavity width flexibility: inside width is customer-specified
  • Self-cleaning link design expels debris from critical areas of the link during operation
  • Maximum stability: Single link plate design with double-integrating locking features results in robust side bands joined together by bolted aluminum crossbars
  • Zinc-dichromate plated links for corrosion resistance
  • Crossbar options:
    • Bolted aluminum flat bar (AF) – Lightweight snap-on style glass-filled nylon or fixed position ¼” diameter bar separators available
    • bolted aluminum round bar (RB) with optional poly roller (PR) – snap-on style glass-filled nylon separators available
  • Applications: machine tools, foundries, and mobile construction equipment

Weight Load Chart

  • Find the weight you want to put in the cable carrier on the left side of the chart (additional load)
  • Then follow that row across until you get to the maximum unsupported length line.
  • Unsupported length (a.k.a. unsupported span) is the maximum distance possible between the moving end mounting bracket and the topmost link of the curve.
  • For a standard cable carrier mounted with the fixed end at center of travel, this length is 1/2 the system travel + 1 link pitch.
  • This length can be greater or shorter if the fixed end is offset mounted from the center of travel.
