Bellows for Ventilation of Traction Motors on Electric Locomotives and Electric Railcars

These bellows are designed to facilitate ventilation for traction motors on electric locomotives and railcars. They are installed between the underfloor section of the vehicle and the upper flange of the traction motor fan collar. A sealing interface between the upper flange and the fan collar ensures minimal air loss and prevents moisture ingress, including water.

The lower end of the bellows is typically attached to the bottom flange of the traction motor or secured using a bayonet fitting. Alternative mounting configurations are also available to accommodate various design requirements.
