Weight Load Chart

Find the weight you want to put in the cable carrier on the left side of the chart (additional load).
Then follow that row across until you get to the maximum unsupported length line.
Unsupported length (a.k.a. unsupported span) is the maximum distance possible between the moving end mounting bracket and the topmost link of the curve.
For a standard cable carrier mounted with the fixed end at center of travel, this length is 1/2 the system travel + 1 link pitch.
This length can be greater or shorter if the fixed end is offset mounted from the center of travel.
Using the load chart below, for example: an additional load of 5 lbs./ft can have a maximum unsupported span of ~8.5 ft.

How to Create a Part Number:

Model – Crossbar Style – Bar Width – Height – Separators – Length – Bracket (fixed) – Bracket (moving)

Example: TS-MB-9.79-245-0-101.50-#2IN-#2IN

Length is the distance between flanges (B.F. Length); specify in inches (2 decimals).
- Length = Travel/2 + CL (+ offset distance from center).
  Dynatect recommends mounting the stationary end of the carrier at the center of travel, minimizing the required length.
  In cases where center mounting is not possible, add the distance offset from center to the carrier length calculation.
Bracket: For each end, specify arrangement # (1-4) and inward- or outward-facing holes (IN/OUT).

What does a Hybrid system cost?

10% Less than a traditional track and trough system.

The hybrid system eliminates the expense of purchasing and installing Guide Troughs which required for the entire length of travel on traditional track/trough systems.

In the non-opposed center or offset applications, the additional cost/complexity of a raised UHMW (Igus), Roller (Gleason), or raised platform/shallow trough section (Gortrac and Kabelschlepp) is required for travel forward of fixed end.

How is installing a Hybrid system easier than installing a track and trough?

The Hybrid system does not require a full trough installation.

Only simple support/guidance required is required in the retracted area.

In the extended area, no support/guidance is required.
